Hi sunbathinglizard.
Thanks a lot for this GREAT post.
More than 20 years later, I thought about the DANCETERIA bands and I remembered in my head the marvelous track DRIVING TOYS (from the album NEAR THE NOISE) by JIVAROS QUARTET … Searching on the web to listen to it again, I have discovered your blog.
But the 2 ifile.it links do not work. The 3 divshare links are ok.
Impossible to listen to near the noise + loneliness pours out of our heads …
Can you, please, upload those both links again (on divshare)?

yes, they are from la cahux-de-fonds. and yes, seeing them live was definitly an experience.
and no, i do not have any contact information. did alsonot find any when i was doing this post. i have been so far also not been able to get my hands on a recording of the follow up band Sunday Ada… so if anybody has that, please let me know.

You have absolutely no idea how happy you made me! I thought it was nearly impossible to listen again to “Loneliness pours out of our heads”, which I first heard in 1991 in a various artists euro cassette promo for radio and never could find since then, nor even “Goodbye Vincent”, the album (but yes “Near the noise” and “Fever led us here”).
Hopeless, I once again typed simply “jivaros quartet goodbye vincent” on Google……..and found your page.
